60th Anniversary Celebration Weekend

A full steam event celebrating 60 years since Alan Bloom started the collection!

Fri 17 Sep 2021 to Sun 19 Sep 2021

A full steam gala weekend.

Joined by guest 2ft narrow gauge locomotives and traction engines.

Update 16.9.21

Due to unforeseen circumstances Bronllwyd is unable to particpate in 2ft mainline running this weekend. Bronllwyd is onsite at the museum and can be viewed in light steam in the narrow gauge shed sidings.

We are excited to confirm Alan Bloom's favourite engine 'Bronllywd' will be returning to the museum from Statfold Barn Railway for this special weekend.

Quarry Hunslet loco 'Sybil Mary' will also be joing us for the Gala weekend from Statfold Barn Railway (Avonside quarry loco OGWEN had been due to join us but the overhaul is over running so Sybil Mary will be the replacement loco).

We will be joined by traction engines from private owners, both full size and miniatures.

The museum will also be hauling out some of the tractions engines for outside display from inside the main exhibition hall. The first time they will have seen daylight for over 20 years!
