Summer events at BressinghamNext Post
Assuming it doesn’t rain all summer (if it does we’ll be recommending some indoor activities you could try!) most families will be looking for things to do in the great outdoors.
Bressingham will be open all summer, with all our usual attractions on offer - but in addition we’ve pulled out all the stops to provide some great summer events in Norfolk this year!
Sun 24 Jul 2016
In the last week of July Fireman Sam, kids favourite and a regular visitor to Bressingham, will be visiting us - he’ll be acompanied by his colleagues from the emergency services.
There will also be a number of visiting retired Fire Engines as well as our own Dads Army Fire Engine, the local Fire and Police services as well as some Fire Cadets* - All included in the standard unlimited train rides price.
* Emergency service appearances are always subject to operational requirements.
Sat 13 Aug 2016 to Sun 14 Aug 2016
Later in the summer Bressingham’s annual Steam in Miniature weekend will come around again where working scale models of steam locomotion are on show.
Ranging from the large and decorative engines used by fairground showmen and the travelling fairs to the more humble road rollers used to maintain the highways and by-ways.
Scales range from 2½ inches to the foot to the larger models of approximately half the size of the originals - A massive treat for any closet modeller or people who like to pretend they’re giants!

Join us for The East Anglian Garden Railway Show. We will have Trade Stands for all you enthusiast and Layouts Including Live Steam.
Smell the Fragrant Garden situated next to the picnic area, where visitors can enjoy flowers and fragrance throughout the summer.

Miniature trains take over Bressingham again in September - our Model Railway Exhibition will feature layouts of a variety of scales and gauges. There will also be a number of trade stalls where you can pick up your own model trains and extras.
Are there any local places or events you think we should know about?
If you’ve particularly enjoyed any places or events in Norfolk or Suffolk let us know.
We always like hearing about other local attractions!
