Bressingham as a registered charity (266374) can reclaim Gift Aid on you Day Entry if you are a UK tax payer.
This is how it works
The Gift Aid Scheme allows UK charities to claim back the basic rate tax on donations from individuals who pay UK tax. If you are a UK tax payer who has or will pay in the current year income or capital gains tax at least equivalent to the amount the charity may reclaim, then you are entitled to make a donation under the Gift Aid scheme in respect of day membership of the Museum for yourself and your immediate family. The government requires that the donation be at least 10% more than the normal price of entry.
In order to Gift Aid your admission you must have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for the current tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for the current tax year. Other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. The charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that you have given.
Please help if you can.
