A day out at BressinghamNext Post
Bressingham had been recommended to us by my brother as they had enjoyed a lovely day out there. We drove 1hr 20mins to get there from our small village near Aylsham.
We have 2 children aged 3 and 9,the youngest, Louie being rather train-obsessed! We are really glad we went to Bressingham, we had a fabulous day. Unlimited ride on the narrow gauge engines, our favourite was the waveney line, through the forest and over the bridge, very picturesque.
We loved the gallopers! Very fast! Beautiful horses, we loved reading all their names! The museums were wonderful, my daughter is keen on history and had recently been learning about WW1 and WW2, so she was very keen to learn about the history of the railway during this time.
Louie thought it was great he could climb up and explore many of the trains and carriages.. the children were simply amazed when we told them how old some of the trains were! We enjoyed a lovely picnic and then a walk through the beautiful gardens which were simply stunning and so well-kept. The children ran through the sprinklers which they thought was great!!
My husband said his favourite bit was the old style amusement arcade, he had great delight playing the penny slots, after only being used to the modern ones! The kids loved the 20p ride on's! We had a fun filled, wonderful day, and will return for sure. I will be recommending you to family and friends!
Thank you Bressingham! Special thanks to the two lads operating the gallopers as at the end of the day we were so busy exploring the gardens we lost track of time and just missed the last gallopers ride, but they let us have one last ride which delighted the children!
