Power interruption issues

BRESSINGHAM will be CLOSED Wednesday 7th October. This is due to the locality having no power supply as EDF upgrade the 11KV overhead power lines feeding Bressingham and Roydon.

The steam museum and gardens will be closed on Wednesday 7th October as there will be no power to the site. The majority of our buildings have no natural light source, as well as this our water, toilets and gas supply all require electrical power to operate their control systems, whilst we have backups in place they allow us only to sustain a limited service. The period without power exceeds this.

We apologise for this closure, but we have worked with EDF to choose a time for this work to be done, when visitor numbers are small and have specifically requested this not to be over a weekend.

Blooms of Bressingham Garden Centre are aiming to offer a limited opening service on this day, although this is subject to change dependent on their ability to keep their generators running. Please call them direct 01379 688585.

Please note there will be no telephone service available to us on this day and our telephone numbers will appear out of service. Uploads of web imagery will also be offline. Our web site itself is housed offsite and should be unaffected.
